I have over 30 years of financial leadership experience working with companies that are privately owned, private equity-backed and publicly traded. As a partner with the Florida CFO Group, I provide CFO services to clients in various stages of growth, from startup through their exit strategy. Those clients have performed e-commerce sales, sales support services and professional services. I also have extensive history in the production and servicing of high-tech equipment, medical services and financial services.

As a senior-level financial executive, I have personally led initiatives that include:

Developing and implementing processes and controls required by a startup organization
Orchestrating several transactions, including the successful sale of a company with $35 million in sales, a $50 million acquisition, and the divestiture of three operating units with consolidated sales of over $80 million
Being responsible for financial and regulatory audits
Restructuring systems and processes to improve productivity, resulting in 20% and 40% reductions in production and administrative support staffs, respectively
Overseeing the selection and implementation of several Enterprise Reporting Packages (ERP) and other software packages to improve operations
Negotiating with investment bankers and potential investors as part of a private placement that raised $12.5 million of equity as well as other transactions
Leading a troubled company though financial workout and structuring an outcome that was acceptable to all stakeholders
Reorganizing financial structures to accurately meet strict compliance and reporting requirements, including required processes and controls to comply with the Sarbanes Oxley Act
Preparing and filing Form S-1 registration statements to raise capital and perform acquisitions
Establishing owner-controlled insurance programs (OCIP) and captive insurance company to significantly reduce overall insurance costs

I joined the Florida CFO Group in 2019, where I provide fractional and part-time CFO support to clients. I have 20 years of experience in delivering management and financial leadership as a C-suite executive. I hold an MBA from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Central Connecticut State University. I am a certified public accountant (CPA) in Florida and hold a chartered global management accountant (CGMA) designation from the AICPA. I also hold certified management accountant (CMA) and certified financial manager (CFM) designations from the IMA. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
