Barry Brover has been a colleague of mine for over 30 years. When Barry joined Barnes & Noble College, we were a very small private company with annual revenues of approximately $100 million, by the time Barry left we were a public company with over $2 billion in revenues.
From his CFO position and eventually, Executive V.P. Operations, Barry significantly contributed to the growth of the Company through our Comp Store sales increases, as well as acquisitions. Most importantly from our humble beginnings, he was instrumental in putting the accounting and expense infrastructure and policies that were utilized throughout our organization and allowed us to grow both in revenues and most importantly, in profitability.
In my 45 years of work experience, he is one of the finest individuals I’ve ever had the experience of working with!
