A newly admitted Partner in the Florida CFO Group, John Cruickshank is an operational CFO with the proven ability to position companies for long-term growth and profitability. His career includes domestic and international public company, private equity, and family company experience. He enjoys being a strategic partner to the CEO and senior management team and utilizing his strong change management skills to achieve agreed upon objectives.
John has broad experience in manufacturing, processing, distribution, consumer products, and B2B/B2C. As a strategic partner to the CEO and board, he provides expertise in the Finance, IT, HR and Operations functions. He has “Big Four” and internal audit experience and has held board positions at several companies. He has participated in a number of successful turnaround projects resulting in the sale of the companies concerned at competitive EBITDA multiples.
John has over 30 years of experience as a CFO in a variety of companies in the USA, the UK, the Netherlands and Canada. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, a CPA equivalent, and attended Herriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also studied at the IMD International Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a member of Financial Executives International (FEI) and the Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) Network USA.
John and his wife Hanna live in Palm Harbor, Florida. They have two children David and Mariusz, who live in Lyon, France and Chicago respectively.
