I like to focus on small and mid-sized businesses, and assist with growth management or turnaround situations. This involves:

Situational assessment
Developing a plan
Implementing the structure for timely and reliable financial reporting and controls
Cost control and reduction
Establishing financing to ensure adequate cash management and making the finance function a value-added part of an organization.

I have been involved in several M&A transactions, working with attorneys, investment bankers and private equity firms. I am experienced in all aspects of financial reporting and analysis, audits and taxes, banking and treasury, board interaction and regulatory compliance. My industry experience includes manufacturing, healthcare services, distribution, insurance, record retrieval services and online education.

I've been a partner with the Florida CFO Group since 2013. I received a Bachelor of Science in accounting, graduating cum laude, from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and an MBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami’s executive program. I am a certified public accountant (CPA) in New York State (inactive). I am also a board member of the Tampa Bay chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) and a member of the Tampa Bay chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Florida CFO Exchange.

I began my career with Price Waterhouse in Syracuse, New York, working with public and private companies engaged in manufacturing, technology and health care. Prior to joining the Florida CFO Group, I have held previous titles including:

• Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Advantica Benefits, a vision insurance company that provided benefits to over 3 million members

• Chief Financial Officer for RedVector.com, a Tampa-based online education company, from 2004 to 2008

• VP and Controller for Linvatec Corporation, a public company that was acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), and Controller for Intervascular Corporation, a subsidiary of Datascope Corporation (DSCP)
